Such a great opportunity yesterday learning from the @CLEAPSS team. So much fun experimenting with how to teach fundamental and “tricky” chemistry practicals in a different greener and more cost effective way! @bob
@Katayune do you know of any up and coming ECTs or teachers who are looking to move to an all girls school in a leafy suburb in Manchester? We deliver #springboard science at KS3 (which is UNBELIEVABLE) and @aqa for GCSE.

Exciting news from The Loop!
We are resuming our festival drug testing services again this summer, having obtained the ✨first✨ Home Office licence ever issued for onsite festival testing! This is a huge endorsement for The Loop’s work.

Our testing @lostvillagefest 2024 is continuing to show us that #SizeMatters. We are finding that range & variability of pills can be significant - even for the same design.
Taking too much MDMA can be unpleasant, but could also have more significant and dangerous effects.
ALT Why #SizeMatters
White text on black background.
Taking too much MDMA can be an unpleasant and dangerous experience.
Be aware of the risks and signs of an emergency, and know when to get help.

Seek medical attention for
Rigidity, seizures, fits
Nausea and vomiting
People who are hot to the touch,
or so hot they have stopped sweating
Signs of panic, anxiety, or confusion
Many of these symptoms are associated with serotonin syndrome, which is potentially life-threatening. Serotonin syndrome can occur when combining MDMA with other drugs that increase serotonin; such as SSRIs, cocaine, speed, and tramadol.
Pace yourself, know your limits, look after yourself and those around you.

Harm reduction advice
Pace yourself - you could take more, but once taken, you can’t take less.
If you intend to redose, consider waiting at least 90 minutes.
SSRI antidepressants will affect your experience and can increase your risk of serotonin sydrome.
Consider your body size - someone smaller will need less MDMA to feel the same affect as someone larger.
MDMA pills of the same colour and press can differ greatly in strength.
ALT
Avoid mixing - especially with alcohol. Mixing with stimulants like cocaine increases the risk to your heart.
Sip half a pint of water every hour slowly - more if you are exerting yourself, e.g. dancing.
If you feel unwell or overwhelmed, seek help from medics or welfare.
