Busy Mum to my gorgeous boy, Headteacher of the best primary school - Team Bartons, die hard netball player and netball fanatic who loves chocolate and cake.
I had fun today helping the Year 5 class from Bartons Primary to create this fantastic rollercoaster 😮😁 . . . we enjoyed it so much we wanted to go round again 🙄😁 darrellwakelam.com
I’ve been over at Bartons Primary in Bognor Regis today for a whole school training day. 😮 I think they had a nice first day back, I did too. 100% practical making! 👍
It was a brilliant day! I’ve had so many texts from staff saying how much they enjoyed the day and learning new skills. Hey why don’t you come back tomorrow 🤣🤣
It’s been an active travel couple of days! 🚲🚊🚴♂️
It was great to head out with Year 6’s from Barton’s Primary School on their @BikeabilityUK training, as part of the UK’s #cycletoschoolweek2024. Our 8 mile bike ride has encouraged me to take the pledge to explore somewhere new with my family on our bikes.
🚨I also went to visit @WhizzBikes at Drayton Waterside Leisure and Retail Park, who wanted to show me their innovative ‘police bike’ that they think could revolutionise our local police force.
🚊 I also sat down with the Chief Exec of Transport for the South East to talk about accessibility to sustainable transport in the Chichester constituency and plans for the future.

So that is Year 6 residential over for another year. What an incredible week with an incredible group of children. Thank you to all at @PGLTravel Osmington Bay for all of your support and encouragement with our Team Bartons children - they loved their week. #pgl#residential
Year 6 residential tomorrow to @PGLTravel Osmington Bay. Praying for that sunshine after all the rain we’ve had these last few weeks. Either way I know we will have a fantastic time #residential#year6#pgl

Brilliant newsletter written by some of the Year 6 STEM club, reflecting on their trip to Festival of Speed. It’s safe to say it was an inspiring day for them. @KatePowell1971@fosgoodwood
My first experience of SATs as a Yr 6 teacher and I couldn’t be prouder of my class this week. They have shown incredible resilience and determination throughout. I can’t wait to have a fun summer term with them now. @KatePowell1971#teambartons
