St Pancras lift down and ‘will be down for awhile’ Sigh.

Just a heads up, if you’re staying at @premierinn Euston all 3 lifts have broken (aircon doesn’t work either and someone just walked out as her room is 30 degrees) & they just keep silencing their fire alarm call at reception 🚨

Left myself and another wheelchair user without a hotel originally and after a 4 hour battle I was transferred to another (unsuitable) hotel at midnight. They knew about the problem at 3pm. The other wheelchair user has had to go back to Manchester.

Not only am I very unwell because I’ve missed my medication which I kept telling them about, but I’ve missed 2 work meetings now because of this hotel over the past 2 days. Most importantly though, at least I’m somewhere safe now and not in somewhere cancelling call alarms…

Why is @itsjojosiwa breaking my little heart tonight 😢 Really hope there was someone there for them at the finals… I just want to give them hugs, cups of tea and show how much they’re loved 🥰#CBBUK

Life of a freelancer with a chronic illness. I love it. And once again, cannot thank you enough for helping me continue to do what I do. Currently in London ready to dance with Darcy Bussell DDMIX tomorrow. ⭐️ katestanforth.co.uk/

‘The next one is the wheelchair’ not what you expect to hear in the #NHS. I’m a the next patient or a wheelchair user or even the next patient is a wheelchair user. I am not ‘the wheelchair’. @NHSEngland please educate your staff better. Thanks!

It’s time for a documentary on inclusion in the arts! 🙏🏻
I hope #Strictly do a little spin off of how Chris and Dianne have learnt how to dance together. It would be genuinely interesting and thought provoking.

I can’t tell you how many times I get told I can’t be a disabled dancer / teacher then @chrismccausland and @dbuzz6589 show the world how beautiful inclusion is. Every. Single. Week. This will change lives. 😭#StrictlyComeDancing

If we get two disabled celebrity dancers through to Blackpool (rightly so!) & at my last Access To Work meeting I was told ‘you can’t be a dancer and need support’ (which was cut ✂️) let this be a big shake up as to how far you can go with the right help. #StrictlyComeDancing

For those who followed my ATW story, we’re still waiting for the final reconsideration. Had to cut jobs, support workers & rely on the (amazing) public donations to keep me working. Hopefully platforms like Strictly will help change perceptions of what disabled people can do.

I would love for either Strictly to do a VT or just Dianne herself to do a video showing how exactly she teaches Chris to dance every week and the things they have to think about to enable Chris to do the things he’s doing. Not in a sympathy type way at all, I just think it would be really interesting to see some of the methods/ things they have to overcome every week to get Chris to the level he’s at because it’s the small things that we don’t even think about that are probably really challenging and I think it would be great if we could get a small glimpse of what it entails.

The only news which should be shared. Amy Dowden had a back-up/swing ready to dance depending on her health on the night. If this was made more of a ‘norm’ in the industry, the doors would open for so many more people. 1/2 #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing

Amy, you’re a pioneer because I’ve honestly never seen this happen in dance for people with more chronic illnesses. And still being there despite not being able to dance tonight shows so many people you can still participate in dance without being on the floor. Huge respect
