Lots of angry @UKLabour supporters telling me @SadiqKhan isn’t responsible for policing London. Sorry, but he, as Mayor, “is responsible for the totality of policing in the capital (outside of the City of London).” The increase in violence in the Capital is his responsibility.

Our new Chair @BorkowskaAlicja arranged a short visit by @ShaunBaileyUK to meet with members of the Polish community in Balham. Shaun wants to effectively represent all communities in London and this provided another great opportunity to understand local residents' concerns.

The UK encourages all parties to engage in Cyprus peace talks and today I spoke to Turkish Foreign Minister @MevlutCavusoglu about the prospects for a peace settlement. We also discussed tensions in the Eastern Med and welcomed progress at the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.
