Barahona Martinez is at least the third recent case of a US military spouse being detained by ICE at an appointment. "I just don't understand, we have a family here, and they're breaking us up," said her husband, retired Staff Sg Wilmer Trujillo bbc.com/news/articles/cjwgll…

A remarkable undertaking from Politico
NEW: We've spent 10 months tracking the outcomes in tens of thousands of lawsuits brought by ICE detainees amid an unprecedented detention push. It's not a cose call: judges have ruled more than 10,000 times against ICE, a 9-1 ratio. See the database: politico.com/news/2026/05/13…

Back in 2021, I did an investigative series for Business Insider about toxic workplace culture and bad bosses in Congress. People rightly question why allegations take years to surface. But staffers told me they have no safe reporting mechanism, and speaking out ends careers

Reporting this series, I heard multiple stories from Capitol Hill staff who said they faced abusive treatment in their offices. None felt safe reporting it. The long-standing, unspoken policy is to go work somewhere else and keep quiet if you still want a career in politics.

Today, voters in Northwest Georgia head to the polls to choose a replacement for Marjorie Taylor Greene. With 17 candidates in the race, anything could happen. The big story to watch: Will Trump-endorsed Clay Fuller prevail, or will Republicans back a different candidate?

The large number of candidates could cause an unpredictable outcome. Republican Colton Moore, who perhaps embodies Trump's pugnacious political style more than anyone, could beat out Trump's pick. Democrat Shawn Harris hopes a splintered Republican vote might give him a shot

Experts - and US lawmakers - say that military action in Greenland is unlikely, and the White House says that diplomacy is preferred even if all options are on the table. There are, however, a variety of ways that the US could try 'take' Greenland. My piece with @Beaking_News and @KaylaEpstein here: bbc.com/news/articles/c0q4w1…

Interesting details in this Pentagon IG report on Signalgate. For one, IG had to rely on the Atlantic articles to get a full transcript of the Signal chat because they could only partially retrieve it from Hegseth's phone
