Lawmakers in New Jersey are considering a bill that would require police agencies to screen officers for signs of bias or extremism when they're hired, and then again every 5 years after... but the state's police union opposes it. This is a very modest bill and their reaction to it is exactly why it's needed. Cops carry guns, arrest people, use force, and exercise state power with qualified immunity. If a cop has racist, homophobic, xenophobic, or extremist views, there should be safeguards in place that protect the public from them.

She had been deceased for several months before being found by 2 fishermen. She is black, approximately 16-24 years old and stood around 5’3” tall. Her weight, hair and eye color are unknown. #ArverneJaneDoe had dental work completed as a gold cap was seen on one of her upper front teeth that would have been noticeable to others. She was found wearing a black shirt that had metal rivets on it, and socks with light blue trim. She was apparently beaten to death in either late 1990 or early 1991, and partially dismembered with both hands and one third of her forearm missing. There are no police agencies actively investigating #ArverneJaneDoe which is a shame. La gente en la marcha se detuvo, preocupada por lo que podría pasar. Pero resulta que el señor estaba agitando la bandera portuguesa porque no tenía una bandera arcoíris y quería participar de alguna forma. Una chica llamada Lily se acercó.
