My last highlighted game of Day 2 of the Marble City Invitational turned into one of the most intriguing battles of the entire evening session, featuring ETA ’28 Compus (E40) and Lady Vision’27 (E40). This one had layers… early control, momentum swings, and a wild finish that kept everyone locked in until the final seconds.
ETA came out strong and set the tone early, pushing the pace and attacking with confidence to build an early lead. It looked like they might create separation quickly, but Lady Vision never flinched. They stayed disciplined, stuck to their game, and kept it within reach as the first quarter closed at 13-9.
From that point on, it turned into a true game of runs. Both teams started trading momentum, answering each other possession for possession. Shot-making picked up, defenses tightened, and neither side could gain full control. By the middle of the third quarter, Lady Vision had found their rhythm, raining in shots and executing well enough to take the lead heading into the fourth.
That final quarter was a battle. Every bucket mattered. Every stop mattered more. Offense became hard to come by as both teams dug in defensively, contesting everything and forcing tough looks. The lead kept changing hands down the stretch, with both squads showing toughness, composure, and a refusal to back down.
In the closing moments, ETA made just enough plays. Big stops, strong rebounds, and timely execution helped them take a hard-fought 49-46 win.
ETA was led by #14
@Kdot3232, who controlled the paint with 12 points and 8 rebounds, using strength and positioning to impact both ends. #5 @mfrohnapfel05 added 10 points, bringing steady scoring and making key plays when it mattered most.
Lady Vision was led by #3
@KallieV_03, who lit it up from deep, leading all scorers with 14 points and knocking down 4 threes, showing confidence and range every time she let it fly. Teammate #13
@ElainePurvis8 added 10 points, attacking the defense and keeping pressure on throughout in a tough loss.
This one was all about grit, shot-making under pressure, and who could execute late, and ETA found a way to finish it.
