Fellow DMs, don't be afraid to look through monster manuals and bestiaries from previous editions for monster ideas to throw at your players. Seriously, I have a whole list of stuff that I am about to convert into 5e just for the next few adventures I'm planning. #DnD

I love dropping lore bombs during downtime for my players. This downtime has been good for those because the dice gods have been kind. A nat 20 on an arcana check allowed me to write out a page and a half of lore for the party necromancer. Our next session is gonna be fun!

I think that the best part was when the Eldritch Knight realized what the final encounter was and said: “A warehouse full of Mimics? Really?” As 4 of them started to attack him all at once. In the end everybody enjoyed themselves! 3/4

A close second was when the pugilist enforcer got off one of her special abilities on the party’s Minotaur paladin and threw him across an alleyway into a wall. He stands up, snorts, and says “well met” and charges back into the melee. 4/4
