A man was shot and killed last week by his girlfriend's adult son on the 400 block of Highcrest Drive.
Police stated that the man, the girlfriend, and her adult son all lived in the same residence where he was killed.
The shooter was taken into custody and detectives are working on what led up to this shooting.

31-year-old David Reyna was arrested in connection with this case and charged with murder.

A motorcycle rider was killed recently in a crash after losing control on the Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas.
The driver lost control and hit a highway divider which caused their death.
No other vehicles were involved and the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.

24-year-old Jaydon Lang is facing two charges of intoxication assault with a vehicle after he allegedly crashed into a jeep on an exit ramp near Mockingbird Lane and Harry Hines.
Victims in the other vehicle were then violently pinned inside their car under the roadway bridge. They were transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

40 years since the murder of Ruby Battee, Marvin Lee Holloway, has been charged with capital murder after a fragment of DNA preserved on her clothing led investigators to him.
Holloway forced his way into Ruby's Dallas home back in 1986 where he then sexually assaulted her and murdered her. But thanks to advancements in technology, what was once a cold case, now has been solved.
A family has mourned the loss of Ruby for 40 years, now she can truly rest in peace.
