I'm super excited to announce the new cover for Book 1 of my Deep Hollow series! I'll be re-releasing Book 1 with this new cover and some small edits in late summer of 2023 at the same time as Book 2.
Art is by the amazing @inklingofme over on Insta.

I'm going to be recording my own audio book for my first book soon, and so I'm listening to some professionally done ones to study and prepare. I'm learning a few things.
1. I don't really like music except at chapter breaks.
2. Editing is just as important as it is in podcasts.
One of the books I'm listening to now has surprisingly lazy editing. Tongue clicks and gasps that weren't edited out constantly. It's kind of shocking that a traditionally published and professionally recorded audio book didn't do the minimum work that I do in my podcast.
I would like to lodge a complaint with @Caimh. How dare you end this book like that? And I don't even have the second one immediately on hand. It's just rude.
You know, it's really rude when my muse smacks me with a cool short story when I'm in the middle of writing my current novella. Not cool, muse. Not cool. #amwriting
If you're making a new year's resolution please don't let anyone talk you out of it.
People love to say, "resolutions don't work," but they never add "for me" to that statement.
This is the perfect time for change. Here's to your new beginning!
signs you should write a book
- you need an excuse to avoid people and "im writing" can work
- some book annoyed you and you want to do it better
- you want to talk a lot and not be interrupted
- you just wish to suffer and this seemed like a good idea at the time
It's weird being an extreme night owl who goes to sleep at 4am. I can see when everyone goes to bed in my country because all my Discord servers stop updating. π
I really want to finish reading The Aeronaut's Windlass, but I just realized that there's not a second Cinder Spires book yet... Back to Dresden then, I guess. @longshotauthor
You know, after reading a whole bunch of Dresden Files and now about a third of The Aeronaut's Windlass, I'm beginning to get the idea that @longshotauthor really likes cats.
