The more I review it, the more I think the warriors did great business securing butler
Again, a 2 year deal is risk free because you improve your team AND donāt get into Butlerās ādanger zoneā with teams
The team lost Klay but basically added players AND butler

I also think KD wasnāt ever on the table
Phoenix allegedly didnāt want Miamiās butler and JRich trade offer because they spent so heavily to get KD initially
And even the GSW trade offer of butler and pieces was rejected
I donāt think phx were ever serious

Iām currently at the point in the Luka trade where, although I fully see the potential of AD & Ky, and even though I think theyāll make another big move in offseasonā¦
ā¦thereās nothing that will replace Luka being traded
A player of that caliber wonāt be seen again in my life

Both golden state and Miami did well out of the deal:
Miami removes a player who didnāt want to be there and gained multiple assets to plug in to a winning team
GSW added an top tier talent on a short deal which will align with Curryās career

They just need that final piece - initially I thought theyād make a play for KD but they havenāt got enough to give up
But the lebron signing makes sense
He has a player option for next year
Has he already been briefed that this needs to be the move
