The Remaining Carbon Budget for 1.5°C is now smaller because:
1) We have not reduced emissions in three years
2) Updated simple climate models because of updated historical aerosol emissions
3) Some new method choices

We tend to drown in the complexity & our inability to bend the global curve of fossil-fuel emissions. Here is the obvious 1st step to succeed - stop subsidizing oil, gas & coal. 7 trillion USD. Almost 10% of the global economy… Let, at least, clean energy compete on fair terms.

Likely hitting 20°C in Southern Germany with overnight lows in the widely in the mid-teens. Bonkers for this time of the year.

Even if we phase out all oil, coal & gas by 2050, we still fail on holding the well-below 2°C limit, if we do not get nature back within safe planetary boundaries. We need a carbon law for Nature, and exponential roadmaps for nature climate solutions

The #Rhine water levels have dropped so low you can literally walk across it in some parts. It's now becoming an inland beach. Transport ships can now only carry 30% of the load, tripling transport costs. The EU response -they are trying for "Carbon Neutral" by 2030. Bit late....
