.@Kennerknecht I know I'm late to your 146.520 MHz initiative of earlier this year (kudos!): this morning I made a quick QSO on 2 meters & it was so awesome ! Took my FT-65R to Tinton Falls, NJ for a day trip (I live in Staten Island, NY, never had a 2 m simplex there) #HamRadio

Early signs of a 6 meter band opening. It starts with a DX Maps email alert. You check PSK reporter and see a station to your East is getting out. Only seeing spotty signals on WSJT-X and one decode from a station to the West. You try calling CQ ... Nothing. It could amount to nothing. But more likely it's just a matter of time. 🙂 GL 73!

Collecting some info for a project ... Two questions ...
1) What year were you licensed as a ham radio operator?
2) What were your first two radios?
For example: I was licensed in 2022. My first two radios were a Baofeng UV-5R and an Icom IC-255A.
P.S. I still use both.
