THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is a shockingly inept film. The story is episodic meaninglessness which neither illuminates anything new about the characters or the universe itself. It’s clearly just a repurpose of season four scripts into a feature film. So disappointing.

Not every Star Wars project needs to be like Andor. But every Star Wars project should have a good story, especially when it’s the first Star Wars movie in almost a decade. I’m seeing too many people defend Mando and Grogu by saying it’s just a fun movie. I didn’t realize fun meant nothing of substance. The Force Awakens was a WONDERFUL Star Wars movie. I left the theater in awe. The OT characters, the Practical Effects --- it was chicken-soup for the soul of Star Wars fans. It made me feel good. Then the Last Jedi harmed me.

I see this silly narrative on X that "Star Wars was a kids movie." Except SW was NEVER a kids movie. It was a movie 4 the whole family. For the first film, theaters reported ADULTS returning numerous times to see it & Disco versions of the songs were played in adult nightclubs
