People love to point to Yaxel Lendeborg’s age, but when you turn on the tape, you quickly realize his game is special beyond the birth certificate.
Just watch him attack the eye of the storm in transition. One of my favorite aspects of his game is his ability to grab-and-go, lead the break, and put pressure on defenses before they can get set.
His power, assertiveness, and athleticism make him a legitimate impact player. Who cares about the age? Talent is talent, and readiness is readiness. Late bloomers happen all the time—this one just happened to become a Consensus First-Team All-American, Big Ten POY, and National Champion.
If a contender lands him in the first round, watch out.
