Genuinely still trying to process what England have just done. Enough to say that, at its pinnacle, Test cricket transcends sport and becomes pure human drama, something Shakespearian.

Was it you @Martycricket that was telling me how much you loved your trips to Doggerland by the North Sea? Or am I getting this confused?
Just 9,000 years ago Britain was connected to continental Europe by an area of land called Doggerland, which is now submerged beneath the southern North Sea. Doggerland was a mix of marshes, swamps, wooded valleys and hills, and most likely inhabited by humans during the Mesolithic period (10,000 to 8,000 BCE). It was teeming with migrating wildlife and served as a seasonal hunting ground for humans. However, as ice melted at the end of the last glacial period, sea levels rose and Doggerland eventually became submerged, cutting off the British peninsula from the European continent by around 7,000 BC. Dogger Bank (shown on the map) briefly remained an island before submerging underwater. The area today is known among fishermen to be a productive fishing bank and is very shallow at only about 50 to 120 ft (15 - 36 m) deep. Over the years fishermen from the North Sea have dredged up hand-made bone artifacts, textile fragments, paddles, dug-out canoes, fish traps, a 13,000-year-old human remain, a woolly mammoth skull and a skull fragment of a 40,000-year-old Neanderthal.

"The๐Ÿ’ฏ has been a huge success." Now the new Glamorgan chair. This is starting to sound like the party line. It's been inc. divisive. 'Media coverage' ref made me chuckle. Barely line on it in broadsheets thru Aug. Yes tickets sell well in Cardiff* (school holidays all to itself)

RIP Shane. Poet, singer and arguably the greatest talent thrown up by the London-Irish community. He spoke for us all. And, at his best, he touched everyone.

The volume inside the stadium in Ahmedabad is like a swingometer - from the deathly silence when Kohli fell to the eruption when Shami claimed Warner. Could the bowl of blue help the Indian bowlers to drown Australia? @AJE_Sport #INDvsAUS #WorldcupFinal #CWC2023Final #CWC23

Accepting that there are a few crossovers, if our Test team played our T20 team in a 50 over game, who would win?

Is it really such a great surprise that being dressed like a tortilla all August playing a game no one else does fails to prepare you for the defence of a format you donโ€™t play enough ? #ENGvsSL
