Texas Tech should support Brendan Sorsby. Keep him on scholarship. Provide him mental health services. Pay his NIL.
What @TexasTechFB should NOT do is play him. It's as simple as right and wrong.

Georgia looked like the best team in the country.
Alabama gets Texas in an elimination game Monday afternoon. Won't be the first time they've met in Omaha.
FINAL | Joey Volchko just put together one of those historic performances at the @NCAABaseball College World Series in a 7-1 @BaseballUGA win over Texas. He punches out 15 Longhorns, with his final pitch of the game a K on a 96 mph heater.
Incredible performance. #UGA moves on.
Final:
Oklahoma 9, Alabama 0
This was the first time the Crimson Tide has been shut out in 22 all-time College World Series games.
Also the first time they've lost their Omaha opener in 6 trips.
Their lifetime CWS record falls to 11-11.
Alabama picked a bad day to have a bad day. Tide needs three field goals to tie or a touchdown and field goal to win in the bottom of the 9th.
Otherwise they'll have to beat tonight's Georgia-Texas loser on Monday afternoon to stay alive.
North Carolina beats Ole Miss in Game 2 at the College World Series. Troy gets the Rebels in an elimination game Sunday afternoon.
Trojans are 4-4 against the SEC this season: Florida (2-0), Alabama (1-1), Georgia (1-1), Mississippi State (0-1) and Vandy (0-1).
Just saw three @WVUBaseball players walking through the crowd on the way back to their hotel from the stadium in the midst of throngs of fans going to the night game at the @CWSOmaha. No one was bothering them. No police escort. No armed security. Just three ball players in dirty uniforms laughing and strolling home after winning a ballgame. Thatβs not something you see at other major sporting events. Thatβs the charm of baseball. Thatβs the charm of Omaha. Never change.Β

Texas Tech's actions in obtaining eligibility for Brendan Sorsby -- an athlete the NCAA declared permanently ineligible for extensive wagering on college sports, including games involving his own team -- have constituted a shameful chapter in the story of college football.
If Texas Tech will not do the right thing, the Big 12 should. espn.com/college-football/stβ¦
For those studying for the bar exam next month, please note that if Congress passes legislation that the President signs into law, whether that law can eliminate a state right is not a straightforward issue given the 10th Amendment and SCOTUS precedent:

In a memo to DI conference commissioners sent today, the NCAA confirms that the Protect College Sports Act would not only prevent the Brendan Sorsby situation but, if the Act becomes law before the case resolves, it stands to "override Sorsbyβs legal challenge."

Cody Campbell's fingerprints are all over the Protect College Sports Act. Strange because the last thing he and @TexasTechFB are doing in this sad Brendan Sorsby saga is protecting college sports.
