📷 A Landmark Achievement! Healing Academy is an IQM Centre of Excellence! 📷 Following a thorough two-day assessment on September 25th & 26th, 2025, we are thrilled to confirm that Healing Academy has not only secured the prestigious IQM Inclusive School Award but has also been officially recognised as an IQM Centre of Excellence! The IQM Assessor, Mr. Dirk Pittard, highlighted how "the commitment to inclusion is a key driving force" behind all success at Healing Academy. This award is a testament to our holistic approach to education and signifies that we are at the forefront of inclusive practice. Key areas of strength celebrated in the report include: The Hive Resource Centre: Described as a "haven of safety and support," The Hive was praised for the swift and effective way it supports students' emotional and educational needs, ensuring tailored resources are always available. Thanks to our Trust SENDCO Mrs Cadey, Director of Inclusion Mrs Crawshaw and the Hive Team. A Culture of High Performance & Cultural Capital: The assessment noted that Cultural Capital is valued on the same level of importance as academic progress. Our careers strategy in action, life curriucum and packed calendar of sports, enrichment, and ‘learning outside the classroom’ visits ensure all pupils develop citizenship, resilience, and a broad understanding of the world. Exceptional Community & Intergenerational Partnership: The strong, reciprocal partnership with the Healing community was lauded. Our students' regular involvement in events like Senior Lunches and commemorations at the Healing Village Hall was specifically recognised for fostering vital intergenerational connections. Thank you to Mr Fieldgate the chair of our Local Academy Council. Recognising All Achievement: The report commended our efforts to celebrate success for every student through the re-introduced annual awards ceremonies, which actively strengthen school-home relationships. Success and happiness for ALL. We would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Houghton, our Assistant Principal and IQM Lead, for her outstanding commitment and leadership in securing this highly deserved Centre of Excellence recognition. This achievement belongs to every pupil, staff member, governor, and parent in our #TeamHealing community. We remain committed to ensuring every individual is valued and equipped for high performance, setting a benchmark for inclusion. #IQMCentreOfExcellence #IQMAwardWinner #InclusionMatters #CulturalCapital #CommunityFirst #HealingAcademy #HighPerformance

Leading with Inclusion: Regional Inclusive Leadership Network Yesterday, our Principal Mr Logan attened Regional Inclusive Leadership Network programme at Carr Manor, an outstanding School in Leeds. This an incredible space that truly reflects the core values of community and inclusion. Hosted by the Leeds Learning Alliance, this programme brings together 50 leaders from across the region who are deeply committed to building inclusive cultures that serve children, young people, and their families. To be selected for this programme and to be in the room with such inspiring, thoughtful people was both humbling and motivating. Why This Matters for #TeamHealing: This network enables us to: Explore inclusive values in a high-performance context. Share research-backed expertise and regional best practice. Strengthen our local inclusive practice for sustained impact. Whilst we face shared challenges across the region, we also bring unique local perspectives. This collaboration proves that there is another way in a relational approach rooted in equity and connection. It was fantastic to catch up with Dan Bodey (Head of Inclusion at City of York) and Mark Allen (Principal of Trinity Academy St Edward’s), pictured here. A huge thank you to Jennifer Steel and Ann-Marie Matson at North East Lincolnshire Council for the opportunity to be part of this vital work. We are really looking forward to seeing how this programme will further empower our community as we continue our journey as an IQM Centre of Excellence. Stay tuned for more updates! #InclusiveLeadership #InclusiveValues #LeadingInclusiveCultures #Community #Collaboration #Equity #LearningTogether #TeamHealing #HighPerformance

KHDA has announced the resumption of quality assurance visits for private schools across the Emirate starting from the 2026–2027 academic year. This step reflects a flexible and forward-looking approach to strengthening educational standards and supporting continuous improvement across schools, ensuring students receive a high-quality learning experience that contributes to the ambitions of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033. The visits will focus on reviewing the impact of school improvement efforts over the past two academic years and providing support to private schools, particularly in light of recent regional developments. Schools will be notified just 24 hours before a visit, helping provide a more authentic picture of day-to-day school life. #DubaiKnowledge #E33
