In Web3, leverage allows you to control a larger position than your available capital. If I have $100 and use 5x leverage, I can gain exposure to a $500 position. If the market moves in my favor, my returns are amplified because my position is larger than my initial capital. This is why leverage is such a powerful advantage in Web3. It creates opportunity. It gives smaller players a chance to participate in larger markets. It allows capital to become more efficient. It helps people maximize opportunities without necessarily needing thousands of dollars to get started. But here's what most people get wrong. When many people hear "leverage," they hear "get rich quick." That mindset is exactly why so many people get liquidated. Leverage is not designed to reward greed. It is designed to reward discipline. The truth is, leverage amplifies everything. It amplifies good decisions and bad decisions. It magnifies patience and magnifies recklessness. The tool isn't the problem. The mindset is. Today, I don't look at leverage as a way to make more money. I look at it as a way to make smarter use of money. Instead of asking, "How much can I make?" I ask, "How efficiently can I position myself?" That's the shift many people need to make. Use leverage with a plan. Use it when you understand the opportunity. Use it when your conviction comes from research, not excitement. Because at the end of the day, leverage is not about becoming rich overnight. It's about giving your capital a stronger voice in the market. And when used wisely, that's one of the greatest advantages Web3 has to offer.
