You know we were worried about the lack of safe cycling for kids @RiverAcReading so it's brilliant to see how much work @bicialmeria and others have put in to keep them safe. Glad the lights helped!

What do you think? When deaths caused by cars is in over 1.5k in 2023 and e-bikes and e-scooters account for less than 100. Is this really where resource should be focused?

118 e-bikes and e-scooters were seized from the beginning of June to the start of September by Thames Valley Police.
Police and Crime Commissioner @matthew_barber spoke to That's TV about tackling e-scooter and e-bike crimes.

Rode my bike yesterday for the first time post-small operation. Blooming excellent! Can't walk very far at present so this is literally my mobility aid.

We obviously advocate for bike parking, but if you need to drive please be aware of this scam and don't use the false QR codes.

Several on-street parking machines in the town centre have been found with false QR codes attached.
Please do not use these QR codes as they are a scam.
The ways to pay for on-street parking in #rdguk are by:

deliveries in an hour to pay your bills you can see why these bikes appeal. Possibly targeting companies that are benefiting from this would help.
Regardless of your opinion it’s a really interesting take on multiple angles. Well worth a listen.

Ignoring the account, this isn’t an uncommon reaction, so I want to explain. We plan our routes to show the need for better infrastructure but also to highlight new routes. That occasionally means for a couple of minutes we’re disruptive. We send marshals ahead, and 🧵

That shared path is ridiculous with all those cycles. Imagine walking down with all those heading towards you. 😂
Surely there should be segregated cycle paths near a major train station by now!?

will stop the kids if someone more vulnerable is there. In general most people smile and wave at the kids and love it. But we acknowledge the problem of disrupting a shared use path for a few minutes once every few months.
