Happy to hear Chief @SharleenGale speak at the @ppforumca Second Annual Indigenous Ownership & Economic Reconciliation Breakfast on an all Indigenous Women panel.

Steven Stark has a superhero name. And it took incredible strength for him to overcome childhood trauma. @ChrisGailus has the inspiring story of a Tsawwassen First Nation business leader who overcame enormous odds and a crushing addiction to start several successful companies.
My heartfelt gratitude to @TsawawssenFN today for welcoming me on the 14th anniversary of their historic treaty with BC and Canada coming into effect. Today is a compelling reminder of how Modern Treaties bring us closer to reconciliation through strong Gov-2-Gov relationships.
Thrilled the Tsawwassen treaty was amended, allowing Tsawwassen to benefit from tax exemptions again. Happy to witness TFN Executive Councillor, Val Cross, address the BC legislature on this historic occasion. @AdamPOlsen addressing us in our language will be unforgettable.
Thank you to Chief Laura Cassidy, Valerie Cross, @KimCBaird and Tsawwassen leadership for driving the success of our journey by their unwavering commitment to their people. @KatrineConroy @CrownIndigenous @BCTreaty
Yesterday, I introduced a @TsawawssenFN Treaty amendment that will implement a BC and federal tax policy change, which allows treaty members to continue to keep their Indian Act tax exemption status in their treaties indefinitely, until a Treaty Nation determines to end it.
