What a Leadership Team and what a great staff! Thank you for your service President Petersen @votewarren! It was an honor to serve as your Pro Tem over the last four sessions and more importantly, an honor to call you a friend. Thank you to everyone who puts in the hard work, day in and day out, to make our Arizona Senate work for the people of Arizona! #AZLeg @AZSenateGOP

🚨Today, Senate Republicans advanced a FY 27 bipartisan budget agreement that delivers: ✔️ No tax on tips ✔️ No tax on overtime ✔️ Childcare tax relief ✔️ Enhanced child tax credits ✔️ New retirement tax deduction for Arizona seniors ✔️ Property tax relief for disabled veterans ✔️ $1.45 billion in tax relief over four years Arizona is the only state in the nation to fully enact President Trump’s historic tax cuts at the state level. Hardworking Arizonans are able to keep more of their paychecks because of it. The plan cleared committee and caucus today. Floor votes are expected tomorrow. Here’s what Senate Republicans are fighting for 🎥

OVERHEARD AT THE SENATE: An Arizona Democrat tried turning one lobbyist-funded lunch into two. 🍗 A lobbying firm paid for a catered meal that fed over 100 people on Monday. That same evening, the firm told the restaurant the event was a success. The Democrat lawmaker whined the chicken was “overcooked and dry” — and demanded they remake the entire order for pickup on Saturday, June 27. Why a Saturday… when the Senate is closed? 🤔 Not tomorrow. Not leftovers. A brand new feast for 100 people nearly a month later — all on the lobbyist’s dime. 💰 The paying customer was blindsided. They never approved it. This is shameless hand-out greed: the Democrat mentality of scamming the system instead of working for it. 🙄 You can’t make this stuff up. 🔥

🚨JUST IN: ✅ AZ Senate Republicans Score Wins for Housing Affordability & Lower Costs! These new laws deliver real relief for Arizona families struggling with high housing costs and government red tape: • SB 1067 (by @WendyRogersAZ): Improves county abatement lien processes — helping clean up blighted properties faster, protecting neighborhood home values and keeping property taxes from rising due to neglected eyesores. • SB 1172 (by @CarineWerner): Streamlines credentialing for developmental disability providers — expanding access to essential services so families face fewer costly delays in care. • SB 1232 (by @votewarren): Allows compatible signage near military bases — boosting local economic activity, jobs, and business growth that helps make Arizona more affordable. • SB 1426 (@WendyRogersAZ): Cracks down on squatters with faster eviction protections — safeguarding homeowners from costly property damage, legal battles, and lost rental income that drive up housing costs for everyone. • SB 1478 (by @ShawnnaLMBolick ): Modernizes liquor licensing rules — reducing regulatory burdens on businesses so they can operate more efficiently and keep consumer prices lower. • SB 1566 (by @votewarren): Imposes penalties on local governments for malicious delays on housing permits — slashing red tape that inflates construction costs and makes new homes harder to build and buy. Republicans are fighting to lower your cost of living by protecting property rights, speeding up housing, and holding bureaucracy accountable. Arizona families win! 🇺🇸 #AZGOP #HousingAffordability #CutRedTape

Amazing how we all sat through the same press conference where victims and advocates testified that Medicaid fraud and exploitation are STILL HAPPENING TODAY on tribal lands in Arizona, and the media’s takeaway is “but what about Ducey?” No tough questions for Governor Hobbs or Attorney General Mayes, who are the ones currently running state government while victims say this is still happening. That’s not journalism. That’s narrative protection for the people currently in power.

🚨While Attorney General Kris Mayes attacks lawmakers and takes victory laps, Native families and victims are still warning that fraud and exploitation are happening on tribal lands. Senate Republicans are listening to victims. We're working with whistleblowers and tribal communities. And we're demanding answers about where billions of taxpayer dollars went. This crisis destroyed lives. It devastated Native communities. And taxpayers are still footing the bill. Every Arizonan should be outraged by how unserious the Attorney General has been when new allegations are brought forward. Watch the recap ⬇️

🚨Last Monday, Senator @CarineWerner held a meeting with attorneys from AG Kris Mayes’ office and personally turned over fresh whistleblower evidence of ongoing Medicaid fraud and patient exploitation on tribal lands in Arizona. Just three days later, Mayes held a press conference, declared victory… and called Senator Werner “a liar and a dumb one at that.” When her own team was shown that the same fraud networks are still preying on Native families, this is how Arizona’s top law enforcement officer responds? Unacceptable. The fight for real accountability continues. WATCH today's full press conference: youtube.com/watch?v=TXKfKIU5…

FYI⬇️
🧵Governor Hobbs is peddling a nonstop stream of blatant lies about our FY2027 budget. ✅The truth: Republicans passed a responsible, balanced $17.9 billion plan — $800 million smaller than hers — that delivers $1.45 billion in real tax relief to working Arizona families while cutting waste and protecting core services. Here’s the difference: ✅Republicans believe in taking as little as possible from your paycheck, keeping government small, and trusting you to make your own decisions and live your life the way you see fit with your own money. 🚫Democrats believe in grabbing more of your tax dollars to super-size government programs, trap people in dependency, and then dictate how you’re allowed to live under their bureaucratic rules. Here are 10 of Governor Hobbs’ most outrageous claims — versus reality. ⬇️

$2 million for a “bold, iconic” sign… while the city’s $24 MILLION in the hole. Priorities in Tempe: Aesthetic vibes > your wallet. Hope that sign can point residents to where their money went. And this is the problem that occurs when Democrats run your government. SMH

🚨Republican Legislature Advances Budget Plan... Again🚨 The GOP budget has passed the Joint Appropriations Committee as Dems attempted to obstruct Arizona's progress by voting NO. $1.45 billion in tax relief. $800 million less spending than Hobbs' plan. That's a responsible Republican budget. ✔️Republicans acted early this year to align state tax laws and provide certainty during tax filing season. 🚫Hobbs vetoed ✔️Lawmakers then sent a second bill to update state law to align with forms issued by the Department of Revenue. 🚫Hobbs vetoed Although the governor vetoed tax conformity, walked away from budget negotiations, and imposed a bill moratorium, Republicans are taking action again by delivering a plan based on real numbers - not unrealistic projections. This plan offers immediate cost-of-living relief for families, seniors, workers, and small businesses. It supports education, public safety, and child welfare, while safeguarding the State Land Trust that funds Arizona schools. @RealMarkFinchem @JohnKavanagh_AZ @VinceLeach

🚨👀 Listen as I debunk the embarrassing “op-ed” from @SenMarkKelly - he clearly is out of touch with Arizona and knows next to NOTHING about the Empowerment Scholarship! (ESA program)!
I’m the product of good public schools, from kindergarten to the Merchant Marine Academy. Every kid deserves the same shot I had, but private school voucher programs threaten that opportunity. Read my op-ed on what Arizona's experience with voucher fraud tells us about where this road leads and why I'm pushing to repeal the new federal voucher program.

Arizona @GovernorHobbs said a reason she vetoed @votewarren's bill to rename the Loop 202 for Charlie Kirk was because it would have erased existing names like for former U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor. But that's not true. azcentral.com/story/news/pol… via @azcentral

🚨This week in Senate Government Committee, Bella Stockton shared her powerful story. Doctors urged her mom to abort her at 24 weeks. She chose life. Now Bella is here… living, thriving, and supporting HCR 2013 to recognize “Celebrate Life Month” in Arizona. It doesn’t change law. It doesn’t cost a dime. Democrats voted NO. One said she “didn’t see the point.”

🚨 Governor Katie Hobbs has a decision to make. SB 1010 is on her desk to designate the Loop 202 as the Charlie Kirk Loop 202 — honoring an Arizonan who inspired young people to engage in elections, defend free speech, and speak out for American values. Arizona has always honored impact… not political stance. Congressman Ed Pastor, a Democrat, has a freeway named in his honor as a tribute to his legacy. 🎥As @votewarren emphasizes, this is how Arizona operates — recognizing meaningful civic contributions from all sides through our public landmarks.

🚨This hits your paycheck, your kids’ schools, and Arizona’s future. Governor Hobbs’ budget plan relies on money that isn’t coming… adds $1.5 billion in new debt we’ll have to pay back… and drains a voter-protected education fund. Republicans said NO. She walked away from negotiations. That’s not a balanced budget. That’s not leadership. Majority Leader @JohnKavanagh_AZ breaks it down. ⬇️

🚨WAKE UP ARIZONA!!! These are the Democrats you are electing into office. They’re not rational or reasonable… just RADICAL!!!
'I WAS FUMING': Former Utah State volleyball star Kaylie Ray faces off against a Democrat state senator, who claims she would have "welcomed" a man on her team and questioned Ray's competitiveness. Ray fired back during the hearing, telling the Arizona leader, "when men are allowed access into women's sports and spaces, it's not women's sports and spaces anymore." The former college athlete tells FOX News Digital about the encounter: "Common sense is not so common here."
