Razões socioeconômicas ajudam a explicar o aumento do interesse de jovens brasileiros na carreira militar, segundo pesquisa do @KingsBrazil. De 2021 a 2025, subiu de 43,8% para 55,6% a proporção daqueles que definitivamente ou provavelmente gostariam de entrar nas Forças Armadas.

Que fatores explicam a propensão dos jovens brasileiros seguirem uma carreira militar? Foi essa pergunta que tentamos responder no artigo “Becoming or Getting by”: Youths’ Inclination to Join a Military Career in Times of Crisis in Brazil, publicado hoje na Armed Forces and Society, principal revista científica que trata das relações civis militares no mundo.
Nossa equipe analisou uma base de dados original com mais de 2.000 registros com informações detalhadas sobre as aspirações profissionais de pessoas entre 16 e 26 anos.
Entre os achados, pessoas mais conservadoras exibem maior propensão a optar por esse tipo de carreira. Não brancos também demonstram maior interesse.
Para aumentar a transparência e garantir a replicabilidade dos resultados, dados e scrips abertos.
