It’s because people took it personally. Tbh, I don’t really know what everyone expects Goose to do in this situation. The leaks already happened, and at this point it’s mostly out of her hands. She can’t magically control people spreading things around online.

I think the TADC situation outlines just how miserable it is to exist online right now. Like I just want to make art and talk to people and maybe hear what people think, and we’ve created these cultures of roving obsessive harassment gangs that target anyone willing to be honest.

Emily puts attention to detail into her dubs at the same level of the best directors of this business. And with all due respect, those of you who are hating on this idea, yet also unironically enjoy and praise the old “unnecessary“ accents in 4kids dubs make zero sense to me.

4kids in particular was so rampant with it that it scared most dubbing studios for YEARS out of ever using accents because they were too worried it would get backlash like it did then, even though NOW people look back at those with nostalgia and pretend like it was always great.

So the fact that Witch Hat did it in a way that was actually sensible, logical, and with people that know what they’re actually doing and actually designed for the story…people are reacting the same way. I hate seeing good work and effort being punished instead of appreciated.
