"I really hope that people in the coming weeks, and months, and years appreciate the greatness of that stretch of golf.
"If Tiger had done that, if Rory had done that, if Rahm or Scheffler or any of the guys that we love to root for had done that, we would've been fainting from excitement, and talking about 'This is why these guys are so good. This is why they're the best players in the world. This is why they're multiple major champions. These guys just have another gear to get it done.'
I really do hope that Aaron Rai gets that same respect."

Aronimink set-up has been criticised but the player who did everything well won. Some played great tee-to-green and putted poorly, wayward drives were punished even if long, others excelled on and around the greens. Rai was the best player right through the bag. As it should be.

And those bad putters this week, Aberg, Scheffler etc...punished...and so they should be. There should be more variance in golf. Putting SHOULD matter more. Wrote about it in my preview, and backed a few who couldn't hole a thing

What a wonderful location at @GolfVilladEste for the inaugural Hickory Masters. This club has hosted more Italian Opens than any other (12), the course looks amazing and the clubhouse is absolutely dripping with history.
