RT @angelalevin1: Kemi Badenoch is terrific. I liked her from the start and I respect more every time I hear her speak. Thanks KB

Kemi Badenoch was interviewed last night by The Spectator‘s Political Editor, Tim Shipman, in front of a live audience at Church House in Westminster. Much of what the Conservative leader said was a retreading over familiar ground. The Conservative party was a ‘distressed asset’ when she inherited the leadership, she said, but is now getting a second hearing. Badenoch said, of the economy, that the country must cut spending before it cuts taxes, and that it is time that the government gets out of the way of business. The Conservative party was ‘for the people who get up every day’, she insisted, and that what is needed in politics is more common sense. ✍️ John Power Article | spectator.com/article/what-k…

To all you cynics and sceptics, set aside your prejudices and listen to her common sense and the clarity of her arguments. @KemiBadenoch you are a winner.
Been getting a lot of very positive reaction to my extended interview with @KemiBadenoch - which has now had over 600k views. Her party may still be very unpopular but Ms Badenoch is getting increasingly popular.

*#* @PNH_Hotelier @BarryHavenhand O ye of little faith. @KemiBadenoch will be our Prime Minister at the next General Election … She will bring Britain back to life again. The people will prosper and be happy. Socialism will wither on the vine. 🥂

This is the person who should be our next Prime Minister. No other political leader comes close to matching her leadership ability.
“We will end up seeing more division” Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says she is disappointed by Nigel Farage "wading in" with his "pure cold rage" comments in response to the treatment of Henry Nowak. #Newsnight

Yes, yes and yes.
Millions of people in the UK have been saying the same thing for decades. Our governments are failing us. They are more concerned with being in thrall to their corporate lobbyists than actually fixing the many problems in the country - which in many cases, they cause. The UK has been plundered and asset stripped for corporate gain. Record tax burden. Cost of living crisis. Rotting infrastructures. Small businesses being punished. High streets hollowed out. We are paying more and getting less in return. The decline is noticeable everywhere. It’s absolutely shameful. Governments should be wholeheartedly serving us rather than their corporate cronies. And until this happens, the decline will continue. Enough is enough.

Here it is in a nutshell. Watch👇
People often ask why I'm a Conservative. It's because people who get up early, work hard and do the right thing deserve a fair crack of the whip. A hand up, not a handout. Because government needs to get out of the way and let people live their lives. 👇

Trevor Phillips’s succinct analysis. As ever, he hammers the nail on the head.
"On May the 7th the British people did speak, and they were brutal" After an election disaster for Labour, Sky's @TrevorPTweets reflects on Catherine West threatening to trigger a leadership contest within the party and Starmer bringing back Gordon Brown and Harriet Harman

Watching @Keir_Starmer on telly this morning, I almost felt sorry for him. He presented himself as a pathetic, humourless, incompetent loser … still expecting to be PM at the next GE. @Nigel_Farage presented himself as PM in waiting. On top of his brief. Oozing confidence.

Today’s debate in the House exposed just how corrupt the majority of Labour politicians are. So lacking integrity that they are prepared to be complicit in covering up for @Keir_Starmer in his attempts to pull the wool over our eyes.

Just watched the London Marathon. Our son Dom ran it in 3 hrs 49mins. But that’s not the point. Today we saw the true spirit of our country. This was lion-hearted, kind-hearted, generous Great Britain. A rebuttal of the bitterness, divisions and grubbiness of society today.
