When an emaciated dog found her way to the Admissions department at KHS, it was clear she'd need patience and dedication to nurse her back to health.
Cherry - a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever - was severely underweight when she was found wandering the streets of Poulsbo.

Over the course of five months and constant monitoring, Cherry got steadily better, gained more than 16 pounds and spent some time under the watch of a dedicated foster home.
Today, she's with a loving family in Kenmore and won't ever be hungry or alone again.

Miss Mildred moved in to our volunteer office, to oversee our volunteer team and ensure that no wand toy or crinkle ball goes by untouched. 🧶

Roxy was adopted from KHS by her family as a puppy.
She spent 13 beautiful years with her people before passing away this year.
While no time will be enough with our furry family, we are thankful for adopters like Roxy's who give shelter pets the happy lives they deserve.
