A few things "greed is good" hippies-to-yuppies-to-Boomers gave the world: private prisons, big Pharma, de-industrialization, overpriced healthcare, >44 baby vaccines for profit, student loans, hedge funds, short selling, crumbling infrastructure, the trillion dollar child pornography & narcotics industries, destruction of the social security trust fund, contaminated (including lead-filled) water supplies, Balkanization, consumerism, a worthless public education system, and a permanent war economy that facilitates human trafficking, slave labor in overseas factories, and theft of resources too.
In the 1980s when they hit their 30s & became yuppies, they were exponentially the largest voting bloc, single-handedly implementing the worst generation of public policy our nation has ever seen.
And as much as possible has been traded on Wall Street since the 1990s, where Boomers demand large gains and fast returns. They scream it's "for their retirement IRAs, 401k's, & pensions." They want what they want now and the future meant for the young best not get in their way.
They started the student loans with Gen X, for example, and look at where we are now. It's a fact Boomers finished their college years by then.
Now Gens Y & Z dwarf them exponentially. They should show the same mercy Boomers have shown every younger generation. It's earned.
