The project includes a 30-metre, 1.5-inch rising main pipeline from the borehole to elevated water tanks, and a 100-metre distribution line to the Kwa Nganya water kiosk. The project forms part of wider efforts to expand water coverage across Kitui County.

Drilled under the CLIDP Programme, the 4 cubic-metre, solar-powered project valued at KSh 5.69 million will serve an estimated 350 households. The project is designed to serve Kwa Nganya, and the proposed Kwa Mwendwa and Kwa Pastor Reuben water kiosks and Isovya Primary.

It comprises a submersible pump and accessories, a rising main pipeline, distribution lines, air valves, washouts, a 100-cubic-metre masonry water tank, a guard house, solar modules, a pit latrine, and three water kiosks serving an estimated 1500 people.
