Our new Silver Cross pram comes from Knighton Hospital and the Victorian folding crib from a local donor’s family.
Two new trails for you to do as you walk around the meadows! A Stars and Planets trail themed to our half-term family activity and a Nature Scavenger Hunt - can you find them all on your walk. Just a £1 each.
I was in the crowd in 1957 when they returned with the FA Cup. I lived in Trinity Road in 1970 and they’d let us into the ground at halftime for free to watch the ‘friendlies’. Happy days.
Stokesay Castle is the nearest English Heritage site where we can use our @cadwwales membership.
Wild bees nesting in the gatehouse and swifts and swallows swooping over our heads. Oh, and a bottle of mead to take home.
The Offa's Dyke centre, in Knighton, is a great place to visit! Displays tell the story of King Offa and the dyke. There's a replica of his throne, a lovely little cafe, and a shop selling all sorts of gifts! 👑
The best May blossom we can remember.
In 2021, when the museum took part in Wales in Bloom, the hawthorn hedge bloomed the first week in July. It was as if
COVID 19 had put the world on hold.

ALT David Attenborough standing outside the Museum wearing a blue jacket and blue and white patterned tie. He is laughing in the image, which features text saying "Happy 100th birthday Sir David Attenborough!"
Delighted to be welcoming members of Mid Powys Mind to @gallery_tower for lunch followed by a guided tour of the museum.
We love the buzz of loads of enthusiastic folk all talking about and handling our dementia friendly artefacts.
