The whole reason we share these early WIP clips is because your honest feedback genuinely helps us keep the game on the right track.
And the #1 thing almost everyone pointed out was that the novice attacks feel way too slow and floaty. And we completely agree with you!
In Knight’s Path, you start as someone who has never held a weapon before. Alryk is weak, clumsy, awkward, and barely knows how to fight. Only later, through higher combat skill levels, does he learn proper stances, techniques, and faster, more confident movements.
We exaggerated the novice level because we wanted the progression to feel really satisfying and rewarding. But thanks to your feedback, we now see we pushed it too far. The attacks stopped feeling believable and impactful, like they could actually hurt someone.
So we’re already fixing it, along with many other improvements.
