My birthday is on May 7th, I'm looking to spend a full week or two in Orlando to start scouting which apartment I'll be moving into in the fall or winter. Pretty excited. Like going to Mania will be in and out, but this trip will hold more merit. I'm starting my next chapter.

I moved once when I was 21 with the help of friends and said never again, they dropping stuff and ripping up walls, professional movers don’t do that and have insurance if it does happen. Been paying for movers ever since. Budget it in.

This needs to be talked more amongst friends lol - there comes an age where you hire movers instead of friends helping you move, call an Uber and not ask for a ride to the airport & book a hotel room instead of crashing on your buddys couch

Agree. Also, what happens when your friend damages or destroys one of your possessions while helping you move? Pro movers have insurance, problem solved. With friends you have no recourse. They feel bad, you're out a piece of furniture. Is it worth losing a friend over?
