Division II Coker University hires 23-year-old @noah_korenoskii to lead the Cobras wrestling program. What an incredible journey Johnstown has taken to the top of the South Carolina program where he wrestled. (Check comments for more background on that.) tribdem.com/sports/ferndale-…

Nothing comes easy for @noah_korenoskii. His HS didn't have wrestling. His district bracket had 3 future D-I guys in it. He went juco & lost his father shortly after joining @Coker_Cobras. Through it all, he perseveres & hopes to be an FBI agent one day. tribdem.com/sports/knops-kno…

For those wondering, Team A was Rutgers and Team B was Maryland.
Which team had the better season? Team A: 14-5 wrestling in elite conference and finished in the top 15, but had no AAs and finished outside of top 30 at NCAAs. Team B: 5-9 in duals, winless in same elite conference, but had an AA and finished higher at NCAAs than Team A.

The decade before @TFlynn134, @TheCliffMoore, and @bigmeech141 arrived at WVU, the average NCAA finish of the program was 46th and they had two All-Americans. In their eight years, they’ve had 8 All-Americans and three straight top 25 finishes. Winners!

Tweet of the tournament? Consider: A) It provides context on an extremely relevant topic B) It required research that must of us would not have been willing to do 3) It expertly ties in one of the all-time great movie exchanges
Many questions of the ages of the 1947 guys. Lowell Lange was young, born August 17th, 1928 making him 18 during NCAAs of 1947. As you can see, 2 of the 4, much older. FYI, “True Freshman” is not defined as someone who right away competes the fall semester following high school graduation. It means they compete the first year they are enrolled. The two fellas who were 23 below graduated high school, and went and fought in WWII for a few years before heading to college. Keep that in mind please before making any disrespectful comments about being elder freshman 😬. Sergio Vega- 19 Jax Forrest - 19 ——————— Lowell Lange - 18 Dick Hauser- 19 Joe Scarpello- 23 Dick Hutton- 23

How cool is this? The @OSUBaseball fans recognizing that @JaxForrest6 has capped his whirlwind ride with a natty!
When you find out Jax Forrest is a national champion, but you’re at O’Brate 👏 #GoPokes

Penn State has 177.5 points before Luke Lilledahl takes the mat, meaning the Nittany Lions have broken last year's scoring record of 177.

@hoagieboyhidlay is a national treasure. Trent was so happy for @Hidlaymania to get his first NCAA Champ. Hayden says “the man just loves LIVE wrestling” This family rocks.

When Mitchell Mesenbrink got to the podium, he went through and shook the hand of the other All-Americans at 165 - all but Mikey Caliendo’s. When Mesenbrink stuck out his hand to the Hawkeye, Caliendo refused to acknowledge him. Mesenbrink shrugged and moved on.

If Caliendo somehow pulls off an upset, I somehow slipped into the NCAA finals taking place in an alternate universe.

Van Ness almost missed the awards ceremony. Was not on the podium when announced, which brought a loud round of boos, but sprinted onto the scene just in time to get his award before Valencia's was presented.

Challenge bricks are becoming annoying. Make it like freestyle, you lose a challenge, you lose a point.
