We're currently experimenting with ALL the crazy mechanics we've come up with. More and more we're seeing that in terms of mechanics, there comes a point where interaction-complexity and increasing the skill-ceiling of the game comes at too much of a cost to accessibility. 🤔🤔

The question is: where's the line that'll keep replayability high, skilled players from solving the game, unskilled/new players wanting to play even through losses and striking a good balance on RNG and variance? Well that's the million dollar question and the fun of design!! 🤷‍♀️

Recently found out about Santorini and we can't help but wonder how we've NOT heard about it until now!! Exactly the feel we're going for with Command and @BrandonGameDev has it right on the money: Complexity that comes from interactions, NOT the rules make for good design! 😊

This is excellent!! Only limitation might be sometimes when a grid occupant requires showing an orientation?
Hot Tip - because I still mention this to people when they show me prototypes and it surprises them: You can do a quick prototype of a hex grid without actually cutting out hexagons. Just use index cards and lay them out in a brick pattern.
