Mask up Kentucky! Don’t do it because someone is forcing you to, do it because it’s the right thing to do. I travel more than others and farm with my 70 year old dad. In crowded places, I use commonsense and wear my mask out of respect for others-like my dad-and for myself.

Interesting graph. In KY, after ~4 years of No-Till, those soils will hold 1 to 2 inches more water than tilled fields during the growing season. For us, that can be the difference in great yields. No-Till = Soil Conservation AND Water Conservation.
The value of residue. This is the difference between no-till and high conservation tillage treatments here. A positive number shows that NT has more moisture than Tilled and a negative number is the opposite. Look at the weekly movement in the upper 3 feet of the profile.

Equipment cleaning is key to reducing the spread of pigweeds. This is our planter & tractor after planting our waterhemp site. That excess soil contains waterhemp seed. Our SOP is to pressure wash after planting any site with pigweed. Combines aren't the only weed spreaders!

After 8,156 tries, Norman Borlaug finally developed a stem rust resistant, high yielding short wheat variety which averted global famine, starting the Green Revolution. The Nobel Peace Prize winner is often referenced in my speeches and is credited with saving a billion lives.

Just spoke to the Tennessee Ag Commish. With both KY & TN ordering travel restrictions and thousands of farmers/agribusinesses sharing our states’ long border, we are ASSURING people that ag is exempt from these restrictions as essential, critical infrastructure. (1/2)
