π§΅Hereβs why we wanted to bring contributors together to share stories about chronic vulvovaginal and pelvic pain -
Around 1 in 7 women suffer with this #pain at some point. Misdiagnosis common, incorrect treatment prolongs suffering. Unacceptable! We need to talk about this so women get appropriate care. Please help make change happen & share
Instagram is CENSORING #vagina! 'Vagina' isn't a dirty word, and this is shutting down important discussions about health and how your body works. It's not obscene, it's a body part that half the world has.
A recent survey revealed that most Britons cannot name all parts of the vulva! THIS is just one of the many reasons why education and awareness is so vital to our work

Even if you're fully vaccinated, the CDC still recommends not listening to men with no medical qualifications on any subject related to reproductive healthcare.
For decades, policymakers were largely silent about the issue of βperiod poverty.β But thatβs shifting as some devise policies that make menstrual products more accessible.

Dear women thinking about spending $5000 on labiaplasty you donβt need,
Your $5000 will be $90,000 in 30 years if you invest it well instead of spending it on a labiaplasty, which will not actually make your vulva more attractive and could rob you of sexual function.
Iβm told over and over that of course OB/GYNs care about pelvic anatomy and female sexual function.
If thatβs true, can someone please explain to me why no one spoke up about the omission of the nerves in the clitoris until 2019?
No one spoke up until me. Why?
Tips for feeling better with #vulvapain#vulvodynia
1. Learn more, question more. You will become more informed than doctors and this will be your duty and your power.
4. Don't stop riding a bike. Check out the spongy wonder or other noseless bike seats. Get angry that studies of nerve damage and bike seats have left out people with vulvas.
5. Keep trying to ask for what is new in treatments, therapies and options. Stitch together the health care you need and that serves you for you.
What has been working for you?
My call with CREOG is in 2 hours.
Please comment your arguments for why the nerves in the clitoris should be taught to all OB/GYNs.

My letter to the editor prompted Jackson et al to publish this updated illustration of a cross section of a clitoris!
This is the first correct cross section of a clitoris in an OB/GYN journal. π₯³
I like it better than the one from my study and hope it gets circulated widely.
