For me personally, most the non-Nintendo games I play either don't get revealed in directs or I play way after they get ported (so that way I know if they're good.) The shitty direct narrator removes any interest in these games I could have in the moment since they kill the pace.
When you don't like a Nintendo Direct people say "well you should play more games", and maybe that applies for some people
But its usually the opposite, if you play more games 90% of the Directs are ports/remakes youve already played. That's why it's boring imo. I like new stuff

The entire point of these kinds of jokes is that the AI is meant to say nonsense (think the Google AI overview). If they're just saying a fact, then that doesn't even help prove the point that they're trying to — the joke contradicts itself.

in Splatoon singleplayer campaigns the protagonists react to splatting their opponent with a little sound effect. Everyone, except Agent 8. and i think this tiny missable detail provides even more characterization for Eight and makes them stand out from the other agents.
