"Why?": Higher Engagement: Video outperforms Monetization: Video ads yield higher revenue. Competition: To rival TikTok and YouTube. 🔸 Common Push Back: "Video is intimidating, takes too much time" and it’s an absolute MUST if you’re trying to grow and make a name for yourself. I sucked at first. SUPER hesitant to put out video content as a web2 creator. - I didn’t have the gear - I didn’t have the money - I had no idea what to say - I had no clue where to put my hands ...I made pansy excuses BUT 🔸 The regret of not starting sooner runs DEEP Work with what you have and Nike... just do it The growth? Lost…pretty darn lost Staring at the screen, wondering how some tweets explode while others barely catch a spark. Why and how can it be so inconsistent? I know exactly what the problem is too… The 3 Core Pillars. Let me explain… If you don’t have em, you NEED em. Not just to survive, but to succeed….and also to survive. Your 3 core pillars are found at the intersection of three elements in your life: 🔸Interests: Remember those late-night rants with the friends? The weird convos you could debate for hours? That's it. For me, it was psychology, stroytelling, and building ambitions. Dive deep into what sets your soul on fire. 🔸Skills: We've all got that one thing. That skill we're damn proud of. I've nabbed dream opportunities and connections by doing things I love. Things I worked my soul at. What's your superpower? Hone it. Flaunt it. 🔸Convictions: This one's personal. I've been burned, praised, trolled, and applauded. Through it, my convictions kept me grounded. They're my drive. I have opinions that I will never back down on. What are yours? What lines will you never cross? What battles will you always fight? ---------------------------------------- 🔸The sweet spot is when you have 2-3 interests that overlap. List out interests that you have, as many as you can. Find 2-3 that overlap. Those are your pillars From there, what convictions do you have about them? ---------------------------------------- Your X identity should be at the intersection of your interests, skills and convictions. They HAVE to have a natural intersection that allows us to broaden our scope and justify it If we niche down too much, the audience becomes too narrow. Very passionate, but too narrow. Hence we seek that intersection. Now, here's the kicker. These pillars? They're not just cheap X tactics. No no no. They're: -Your voice -Your ID -Your heartbeat I've been in the trenches with trolls, celebrated the viral hits, and learned from the flops. And these pillars? They've been my oxygen tank and my flashlight in the dark. You need your core pillars if you have any sort of ambition to go further. So next time you're about to hit post, pause.
