TL:DR - New Policy for Twitch has me worried for the growth of smaller channels and creators alike.
So, with all of this going on - what can any of us do? Obviously, for smaller streamers and content creators such as myself and the stream team I oversee, if we were to adhere to this new policy we'd lose MASSIVE traction in OUR percentage of views.
However we can't just step away from Twitch. It feels like for the smaller creators who have been on Twitch enough to gain a small following, that we're now stuck! This is such a hard limbo to exist in especially for those of us who have had fallen on hard times and this is our ONLY means of income.
Truthfully, I am just seeking any and all explanation on what we can do, or what anyone can do. Sure my content/channel isn't massive so the numbers are 1-5 every few months that come over from another platform and visa versa, but those numbers matter to smaller channels!
We all start somewhere and it seems like if Twitch keeps going with policies like this, smaller creators are going to be swept under the current harder than what we already are. This is OUTRAGEOUS.
There needs to be a change in how things work, but truthfully, I have no idea where that could even come from now. It feels as if the Twitch Streamers who are just like me, my friends and close collaborators are now just going to be even more hidden from any potential growth we can hit.
I'll end on that, to not draw this personal viewpoint out too much longer, but truthfully. I am disgusted.

Twitch has updated its Multistreaming (simulcasting) Enforcement Notes.
It attempts to clarify what you can and cannot include in your bio. It also states that you cannot direct users to another platform.
(Personal Note: Confusing update.)
