In minutes, Christa Deguchi of Canada will compete for gold in the 57 KG judo.
What a Canadian story this is. The Deguchi family is from Japan. Christa began competing for Canada in 2017. Christa and her sister, Kelly, both compete (Kelly in 52 KG) in judo.
Christa got beaten out for Canada's only Olympic spot at Tokyo 2020. Now, redemption at Paris 2024.
