On the sidelines of the 61st Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group and the 52nd Annual Meeting of the African Development Fund (ADF) for 2026, held from May 25-29 in #Brazzaville, Republic of Congo 🇨🇬 #KuwaitFund for Development delegation held several bilateral meetings with officials from African countries to discuss ways to enhance joint development cooperation. The Fund’s delegation met with H.E Mr. Saleh Ali, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance, in charge of Economy and Planning in the Republic of Chad, and with H.E Mr. Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, Minister of Finance and Development Planning in the Republic of Liberia, the Acting Director General of the Fund also met with H.E Mr. Ismail Nabi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of the Republic of Guinea, during these meetings, the depth of bilateral relations between them and the State of Kuwait was emphasized, and the role of the Kuwait Fund in supporting vital development projects in various sectors was reviewed.

The Fund’s delegation is headed by Mr. Waleed Shamlan AlBahar, Acting Director General and Alternate Governor at the African Development Bank Group, and Mr. Osama Mohammed AlAttal, Director of Banking, and Mr. Thamer Mohammed AlFailakawi, Director of Operations at the Fund and Alternate Executive Director at the African Development Bank Group. Kuwait Fund’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting sustainable development and strengthening cooperation with regional and international financial institutions in Africa.
