Many shops stop carrying a book after the first arc or two, save for the copies they order for their subscribers. At issue 42, it's really hard to get a store to carry a title like Radiant Black beyond what their customers preorder. It's unfortunate, but I'm constantly trying

1) hlHuge fan of Radiant Black. Startedat it's debut and have not put it down since. As a former (or failed) writer, the story strongly resonated with me.
2) My LCS carries fewer copies as it seems readers are turning to trades. With fewer FOC requests...

Ty for sharing been trying better once I see solicitations to ask my comics shop to add to my pull. Need to catch up on my #radiantblack reading, 1 of my fav moments from #sdcc last yr was coming into your panel to grab seats for the next 1, but became new fan of this universe.

A lot of stores don't order a book unless they have subscribers. They don't even order copies for their shelves.

The fact this is true and has been for a long time is one of the most horridly dystopian things about comics. It’s not enough to put books on shelves and buy them, creators’ entire livelihoods and fulfilment are down to superfans who commit months in advance.
