Emma Roddick MSP visited tour @RNLI station yesterday to meet some of the volunteers, discuss the rescue which led to us winning the Highland Heroes Award, and find out what it takes to be a crew member on board the lifeboat.

As part of the @RNLI 200 year celebrations, at 18:24 on the 1st August all lifeboat stations came together to mark the occasion & remember those that have gone before us since the charity began in 1824 π«Ά

3 year old Finlay MacDonald, whos dad is one of our crew, has walked a mile every day in May to raise money for the @RNLI Mayday Mile campaign. He wanted to raise Β£200 to 'buy petrol for the lifeboat' but has raised nearly Β£1500! He finishes tomorrow at 12.30pm at the station π
