Grammar/spelling mistakes
ALT Threats of fees means you’ll want to take action ASAP. Stop and think first. Scammers are relying on you clicking that dodgy looking link before questioning if it’s genuine.
ALT This text makes you think there’s money waiting for you. Clicking the link will take you to a form that’ll allow a scammer to capture your banking info.

Scams come in a variety of formats, whether it’s someone knocking on the door to gain entry, or an email offering a prize in return for money or personal info. Protect yourself from bogus or rogue traders knocking at your door with these top tips #ScamAware#UtilitiesAgainstScams
4. When buying online please check the company you are buying from is genuine. Also makes sure you see the padlock when you go to enter personal or banking information. Please make sure your computer also has software protection. #scamare
3. Be vigilant when it comes to texts too. Sometimes fraudsters will impersonate a trusted organisation to try and trick you to click on links to enter your personal information. Again call the company on a number you know to be genuine. #scamaware
2. Don’t panic. Even if it’s a alarming email or telephone call. Take 5 minutes and call the company back on a number that you know is genuine. Never give personal information or bank details on a incoming call even if it sounds genuine. #scameaware
1. Watch out for suspicious emails trying to trick you into clicking on links and attachments as they could contain malicious software. Also asking for your personal information or even your banking details. #scamaware
Some of you may have seen this video before, but it’s still worth a watch as we’ve noticed a rise in ATM distraction theft lately. Be vigilant when you’re getting cash out and you’ll stay safe.
