Some choice shots I did during my time on #Rocketeer on @disneyplus. I learned a lot from this show and hearing all the music and effects they added afterwards was really cool! I finally have a pinned tweet... like a real animator!

I’ve asked for this to be posted after my death. I accepted government assistance in dying. I’m proud to have been part of the animation industry during my short career, and meeting lots of fun, interesting people. 1/

I got to express myself in ways I never thought possible. I’m happy to have learned this hidden language called animation, so I could speak it to so many people. 4/

To all my former coworkers, and the coworkers who could have been - thank you for everything. I lived a richer and full life because of you. Love to you all, Kyle

i don't like this movie much lol but i think this part is very effective it gets the viewer on the fox's side right away as they root for his cleverness since they understand on some small level that hes not allowed to play the same game as everyone else but is thriving anyway
I never understood what he did wrong...

besides being a surprisingly effective anti-imperialist and anti-fascist piece of media, what i really loved about andor was how it worked so hard to re-contextualize the star wars universe. nothing is taken for granted, anything could come in handy in exploring its themes
Remember how Andor turned a single TIE Fighter into something truly menacing. What a show.

i feel like referencial humor that was straight-up *expected* to be missed by kids was an entire art form at one point or another. i was even aware of it as a youngin babs bunny would quote someone, often after a costume change, and id look at my mom dumbfounded as she chuckled
‘ZOOTOPIA 2’ originally had a 4-minute long scene that was a homage of Clarice and Hannibal’s first meeting in ‘SILENCE OF THE LAMBS’ “We did word by word the first scene when Hannibal Lecter meets Clarice… That’s where we go, now we have lost our younger audience members” (Source: variety.com/2025/artisans/ne…)

the mecha pose thing is obviously more a reaction to generic sexist costuming and framing than any literal posing imposed on female characters in the genre the major sits in a tachikoma the same way anyone else does. but is the camera doing this to batou when he disembarks?

this is not "miscommunication" confidently entering a new space and deliberately seeking out the least organized/relevant parts to represent it takes inten you're not looking for an interesting exchange, you're looking for a target rich environment to feel like a good person
I think a lot of fan miscommunication related to media literacy stems from new fans walking into other fan's designated 'Party Room's & trying to turn them into the 'Media Analysis' room, straight up assuming said fans have none & must be reformed to understand right from wrong🧵

ill grant that some folks probably lack certain social skills to engage with others when they're looking to make connections or genuinely test their beliefs. but aiming straight for the least prepared place to deal with you is pretty telling behavior

the article says the unnamed studio instituting this is itself using a/i i like dunking on apologists but that seems like a big detail to leave until the final paragraph

A Japanese game studio is making applicants draw in front of them during interviews to prove they don't use generative AI The Chief Graphic Designer at the undisclosed company said, “It is humans who can create compelling characters and graphics from scratch”

i remember back when i tentatively poked my head into react content i assumed people live streaming a reaction to a video had already reviewed it and had prepared notes to guide their audience along their reasoning and the live format was for covering things they'd missed lol

it made sense to me to want to cover someone live but what's the point in setting it up if you havent reviewed the material? youre just going to pause a lot, lose whetr you are, repeat yourself. absolute waste of time, or so i believed

it's the bedrock of racism for me lol
I just don’t get the people who are so hateful towards these films. They’re technically impressive, and beyond that, incredibly engaging and entertaining. They’ve got more heart than a ton of stuff that comes out these days. I can’t wait to see FIRE AND ASH on Monday!

art is a human journey, and artists can appreciate that journey through observing others at their differing stages of mastery this was why the recent Frieren art discussion was so profound for some (artists) and awkward for others (a/i proponents) since not all can really relate
Ai existence made me way less picky to human made art. Now I like almost everything I see when I know that it’s created by a real person who actually tried. It became way more precious and respectful. Please doodle, sketch, paint, sculpt. You all are incredible

it was genuinely moving to see so many artists try the challenge, taking that vulnerable step to demonstrate how far they've come while more experienced artists shared their tricks of the trade to encourage more sharing and growth. a sadly rare phenomenon for a communal past time

then you had the sad a/i bros trying to get in on the communal euphoria, with their inhuman machines laundering incalculable amounts of art in a vain attempt to capture that same vulnerability, to demonstrate some kind of growth while everyone held their noses around them
