Hearing that there is a bit of an organised pushback to the speed changes as part of Katoa ka ora. These look really good - make lots of sense and should make our neighborhoods a much nicer place to be in. Feedback at haveyoursay.at.govt.nz/kko/m…

I live in hope that this will become more well-understood! Billions on a few highways will make traffic worse and will create additional problems! We can do better. stuff.co.nz/environment/clim…

👏🏻 successive research into the transport needs of those most disadvantaged in society find time and again that ALMOST ALL WISH they could get places without the huge cost drain of owning a car. They’re choosing between car and other essentials instead.
Nothing riles up the Nats more than talking about other transport options besides cars.

What if we designed cities, and the land-uses, densities and infrastructure that make them what they are, so that daily activity and exercise was just an ordinary, “invisible” part of every day life? It’s actually not that hard. You just have to change priorities. #HealthyCities

Some much needed good news for communities 💕 Here’s hoping this will influence/ support the reduction of convolution & costs involved with traffic & PT management when making use of this updated legislature 🤞🏻

We can’t solve climate change with the same systems & thinking that got us here in the first place. When turning to Indigenous, disabled, and other frontline communities for solutions, remember that these are not going to look like Western solutions. That’s the point.

“How can we go back to basics and explore our relationship to ourselves and to nature, in order to inspire design solutions and ideas that tackle social issues” wow. What a great chat @marcfonteijn had with @deborahszebeko on the Service Design Show. I’m tackling this now!
