9:40 a.m.: Power has been restored to all customers. Thank you for your patience as our journeymen/linemen tackled this outage, which was due to an overhead line fault.
Power outage update as of 9 a.m.: The area between Timber Ridge and Ashley Pond has been reenergized. The impacted areas to the west of the Timber Ridge are still without power. Full restoration is expected to occur within the next hour.
A power outage is currently impacting Western Area, near the high school and Quemazon, as well as western Downtown Area. Crews have been dispatched. Time for repair is unknown. We will update as we know more.

Power is out for just under 700 homes near Oppenheimer and Trinity. Electric linemen from DPU are working to restore power. The outage was caused by an underground fault, however crews are still working to determine where it is. Restoration is estimated to be from 4-to-6 hours.
An update on the draft Climate Action Plan was presented at last night's BPU meeting, as well as training on the Open Meetings Act. Also, the board approved an application for financial assistance for the Denver Steels Waterline Replacement Project.

“Extreme heat” is a period of temperatures above 90 degrees for at least two days. Cooling stations provide relief by allowing individuals a place to sit in conditioned space with water without the expectation to purchase things.

In addition to county-owned public buildings, the Co-op, the American Legion Post, and Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op have signed on to be cooling stations. #CommunityDriven
Utility-scale solar and wind power combined generated more power than coal from January through July and are on track to exceed coal generation for an entire year, which would be an industry first.
