📚✨ At Gardena High School, every shelf holds a new possibility. For School Library Month, we’re spotlighting Lucas Andres Gorham, Teacher Librarian, who believes the right book can change a life. 🌟 Inspired by The Awakening of Malcolm X, Mr. Gorham is creating a library where students can explore new ideas, build knowledge, and discover who they are. Whether students are diving into manga, flipping through cookbooks, exploring self help titles, or finding books in Spanish, curiosity is always part of the story. 📖✨ By welcoming students into the library early in their high school journey, he’s helping shape confident readers, researchers, and lifelong learners ready for college, career, and beyond. The library isn’t just a place to study, it’s where students begin writing their next chapter. ❤️📚 #SchoolLibraryMonth #LASchools #ReadingIsCool

This #SchoolNutritionEmployeeWeek, we are proud to spotlight Tahara Anam, whose care and dedication make a lasting impact on students every day. One moment that stayed with Tahara was when a student who usually rushed through the cafeteria line paused to say, “Thank you, this is really good.” That simple interaction was a reminder that the heart poured into every meal truly matters. For Tahara, the little details count. Every breakfast, lunch, and supper is prepared with care because a nutritious, delicious meal does more than feed students. It helps students feel supported, valued, and ready to learn. Thank you, Tahara, for showing up each day with compassion, pride, and commitment to student success.
