Last month, LATTC partnered with @netflix to host a work study program for students studying Construction, Maintenance & Utilities pathway. Students were exposed to real work situations & enhanced their proficiency in leadership development, building ops & construction.
The cohort of students was unique in that it comprised of all women. The construction industry is a major contributor to the economy, however, women only make up 10.9% of the national building trades workforce.
