Our experts are constantly asked to weigh in on these same old stories — leading to capacity issues — but when truly groundbreaking research comes out, no one comes knocking (unless the research happens to line up with traditional environmental news narratives).

I hope this will change, but I think it is going to continue. Research organizations need to tell their own stories, build their own audiences. They can’t rely on external media alone.

🐿️ I wrote a children's book called Chester's Way about an adventurous, unusual squirrel — it is now beautifully illustrated across 52 full-color pages by Niara Fullard. 🐿️

I want to draw attention to this important research from @MichaelRoss7, which you may have missed amid elections/#COP27.
After looking at decades of global data, gas taxes and cutting subsidies almost never last.
It's time to try other strategies.
